Luis Suarez scored a second-half equaliser for Uruguay in a 2-2 draw with Brazil, his first competitive international since he was banned for biting at the 2014 World Cup.

The Barcelona striker had not played competitively for Uruguay for 640 days before Friday's World Cup qualifier.
Douglas Costa scored for Brazil after 39 seconds before Renato Augusto doubled their lead on 26 minutes.
Edinson Cavani pulled one back before Suarez struck just after half-time.
Suarez, who captained the side at the Itaipava Arena Pernambuco, bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's final group match of the World Cup on 24 June 2014.
He was given a nine-game ban from competitive internationals, as well as a four-month ban from all football-related activity.
The former Liverpool forward missed Uruguay's subsequent World Cup defeat by Colombia, the entire 2015 Copa America and four games of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.
Uruguay are now second in South American qualifying, three points behind leaders Ecuador, while Brazil moved level with Argentina and Paraguay in third place with eight points.

ATHLETICS

Four Russian athletes have tested positive for the banned drug meldonium.

At least 16 Russian sportspeople, including tennis player Maria Sharapova,have tested positive for the substance since it was banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency on 1 January.

The latest four are yet to be named.

Russia's athletics federation is suspended from international competition for its alleged involvement in widespread doping, with a decision on potential reinstatement due in May.

Former Sunderland and England winger Adam Johnson has been jailed for six years for abusing a 15 year old girl by a Bradford Crown Court.

Johnson was found guilty of sexual touching and grooming the girl and is expected to spend his first night in a prison cell later on Thursday 24th March evening after Judge Jonathan Rose sentence. Rose said that the former star had an intention to engage in a sexual activity with the young girl who has not attained the age of 16, taking advantage of her since she trusted him because she was his favorite player.

Novak Djokovic overcame Rafael Nadal to set up a meeting with Milos Raonic in Sunday's final of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

Serbia's world number one defeated Nadal 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 for a 10th win in their last 11 meetings.
Djokovic needed to save a set point in the opener but gradually turned on the power against the Spaniard.
Earlier, Raonic had to work hard to beat Belgium's David Goffin 6-3 3-6 6-3 to reach his 17th career ATP final.
The Canadian, who is now the world number 14, sent down 10 aces against Goffin, who had beaten French Open champion Stan Wawrinka on his way to the last four.
He roared through the first set in 34 minutes but struggled with his serve in the second before recovering his composure with an early break in the decider to help seal victory.
"I feel even when I am not playing my best I am able to find the answers," said Raonic, who is coming back after six weeks off with a torn thigh muscle.
"I am definitely able to play at a higher level this year and when a crisis occurs during a match I can find the solutions better."

Djokovic continues to shine

Djokovic and Nadal traded blows in a tense opening set, with the Serb battling hard at 4-5 to level the match.
He overcame that scare to force a tie-break and went 4-1 up before Nadal levelled at 5-5, but Djokovic edged ahead for his first set point and took it when Nadal netted.
But the second set belonged to Djokovic as Nadal struggled before holding his serve in his opening service game, which went on for over 11 minutes.
Although Nadal worked hard to stay in the match, Djokovic was able to do enough to keep his nose in front, breaking to go 4-2 ahead and quickly wrap up victory to stay on course for his fifth Indian Wells title.

Golden State Warriors suffered a setback in their quest for an NBA record of most wins in a season after losing 87-79 to San Antonio Spurs.

Warriors are 62-7 for the campaign and must win 11 of their final 13 games to beat Chicago Bulls' 1995-96 mark.
Spurs restricted Warriors to their lowest points in a regular-season encounter since February 2014.
And their own 59-10 record leaves them three behind the Warriors in the race for top seeding in the play-offs.
Warriors guard Stephen Curry only added one-three pointer from nine attempts in a total of 14 points, but extended his own NBA record-breaking tally for a season to 337 baskets.

Mercedes' Nico Rosberg won a dramatic Australian Grand Prix, after a huge crash for McLaren's Fernando Alonso.

A bad start dropped Lewis Hamilton from pole to sixth but he fought to second.
Rosberg took advantage when the race was stopped following Alonso's high-speed barrel-roll to switch strategy and overhaul early leader Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel.
Vettel's strategy gamble on super-soft tyres mid-race failed and he took third ahead of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo.

Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante has received his first France call-up for this month's friendlies against Netherlands and Russia.

West Ham forward Dimitri Payet has also been recalled and could make his first international appearance since June.

Kante is a complete midfielder and He has been stringing together top-level performances with Leicester.

HULL CITY VS ARSENAL AT THE KC STADIUM
The return leg of Arsenal and Hull City match was scheduled on 8th Tuesday March, 2016 after it ended in a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners came into these game with pressure from the fans and coach because they have not won the last 4 games. The game started on high note with Walcott scoring in the 2nd minute but was ruled off side. Arsenal seemed to lose ball very fast in the first 30 minutes which made Hull City control the game. Mertersacker got injured in the 32nd minute after engaging in a head collision with Nick Powell. Olivier Giroud who has been criticized by the fans after going so many matches without a goal scored in the 42nd minute after a defense error by Hull City back four. Arsenal took the lead in half time. Hull City did more of the attacking but Arsenal back four was up to the task to secure a clean sheet. After waiting for half an hour the second goal came from Giroud in the 71 minute. Ramsey came in for the injured Gabriel. Adelaide came in for Ramsey after he was injured. Walcott scored the 3rd goal after a brilliant pass from Campbell in the 77 minutes. After waiting for about 10 minutes, Walcott got his brace in the 89th minute. Arsenal through to the quarter finals ready to defend the FA cup. Next they play Watford on Sunday in the quarter finals of the FA Emirates Cup. Other games are:

The recent CAF champions league that African clubs participate to win the continental club saw both our Kenya clubs eliminated. Gor Mahia the Kenyan Champions went the whole league unbeaten winning the league participated in the competition but were eliminated in the competition by a team in Madagascar known as CNAPS (Caisse Nationale de Prevoyance Sociale Sport).Gor Mahia were eliminated in the preliminaries stage.Another team is Bandari. The Gotv shield champions and also the winners of supper cup were eliminated by a team in DRC Congo known as Lupopo.If our two top teams are been eliminated in preliminaries stage by other African teams and yet they are the champions here at home. Where is our football going? We need to up our local football so as we shine in the international levels. FKF please do something in these matter. Lets rise our game here in Kenya so as we compete in big tournaments i.e African Cup of Nations and the World Cup.
