KENYAN FOOTBALL

The recent performance by Kenyan teams in the African Confederation Cup is a disaster to Kenyan football. Gor Mahia and Bandari the top two clubs in Kenya after winning the premier league unbeaten and winning the GOTV tournament respectively, were eliminated at the first round of the competition. Gor Mahia were defeated by CNaPS Sports of Madagascar while Bandari were eliminated by St Eloi Lupopo of DRC Congo. The FKF should organise more friendlies with African countries to play against Kenya. They should also urge clubs in Kenya to play in friendlies with the other big clubs in Africa. The Starlets recent qualification to African Cup of Nation is a dream come true to the Nation and the FKF. They should organise friendlies so as they get the experience to play in the tournament. The players and coaches will also have an idea how this team plays and learn one or two techniques that help in the growth of Kenyan football. When we play with these teams even it will help the in the growth of the National team and uping the standards of our game. The FKF should also organise tournament and invite clubs from other leagues in Africa to participate. FKF should organise friendlies with other teams from other continent not only Africa. If we organise more friendlies the country football will grow and also majority of young talented players will get a chance to play in the international limelight and acquire skills that will help the National team to qualify for African Cup of Nations and the World Cup. It will also increase the numbers of Kenyan players who are playing abroad. Organise friendlies to help growth of National football.
